This website has been funded by the Darton East Ward Alliance to provide the foundation on which we can further develop our community engagement. It is designed to encourage people to come together and make Mapplewell stronger by promoting our strengths, celebrating our successes and making the community aware of what we have right on our doorstep.
Unlike Facebook and other social media, the mapplewell.info website is effectively a static site that will eventually be picked up by the major search engine ‘crawlers’. Through careful management, this should promote Mapplewell and every business, charity and service provider within the community, to put them at the top of the search engine rankings. By sharing this platform it should increase ‘visitor traffic’ and so aid everyone listed.
More importantly, however, it should provide a local resource for everything that you might need for your day to day needs.
By ‘buying local’ you are investing in your community.
The more grants and external funds we can attract into the community then the more it improves the quality of life of the people that live here.
But more importantly, the more you get involved with the community then the more you will get out of the community and the stronger we will become.
